What a fun year we have had since our launch exactly one year ago Sunday 25th September with our very first market featuring a range of goodness from pretty purses to dreamy lighthouses to sweet illustrations and an array of printed goods.
Any excuse to dress up! Especially with the mad range we have had all year with a range of stallholders and our regulars like the amazing vintage selection and charming charms from Herbert Found & Made, cuteness from Hannakin, the perfect pieces from Greg Mann Jewellery, the screening printing prowess of Kick & Screen and the fabulous adventure pants from Captain Robbo and so much more keeping us all very fancy.
We have seen all sorts of oddities perspex space invaders flying about the place to vintage suitcases transformed into speakers and some sexy succulents potted in tree trunks whilst being fed some tasty treats from Beanstalk Bakery and so many french macarons and cake pops.
Our senses have feasted on some pretty swell music from the likes of our darlings the Luau Cowboys and our sweethearts You & The Colonies. Not to mention Out of Spain film festival last year followed by the free Sunday film screenings this year upstairs, a sensory Sunday feast!
The first of our Twilight series over Christmas was a festive wonder with paper snowflakes littered about the place amongst our abundant market and surely left not a single of us last-minute-Christmas-shoppers without any tricks or treats.
After a little summer break, it was back to school in Febuary after a little summer break to launch our prom dress ups with the sweethearts from You & The Colonies filling us with some swoon worthy tunes.
Our April rumble we transformed our gallery into a market into a gallery and had Pop M’Art (check out some snaps here) begin their three month Bend and Snap residency with their pop up art studio encouraging public art and raising funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation. (check out the documentary here).
In May, as well as our usual Sunday soiree, we also had the first of our Hosier Lane Pop-up Market in connection Just Another Agency, City of Melbourne and Garage Sale Trail getting all up in Hosier Lane’s nooks and crannies with the awesome calibre of markers, bakers and sugar shakers.
June was a very special month with the Once Upon A Warehouse week long event of art design fashion music and lovvve amidst a fabulous group show by the beautiful 1000 £ Bend staff finishing up on the Sunday with a matinee screening of The Goonies and another spectacular Twilight Bend and Snap edition.
And this month we are back with a bang after a little winter hibernation and we are very excited to celebrate a fabulous year we have had with you all, our amazing stall holders, the 1000 £ Bend gang and all of you beautiful market lovers! We have met so many beautiful people, had so much fun times and good vibes as well as amassing quite a collection of cool bounty from all the goodness we have had from our market dates this past year!
