Zin + Bert

Tell us a little about yourself using a Haiku.
Skulls Chocolate Sun
Rolling waves and sunburn fun
Magnum hits the spot!

Tell us a little about the origins of Zin and Bert.
Zin and Bert was created through my obsession with home-wares and my two family members Zin and Bert.
Zina Spends her luxury life being entertained by the servants who feed, bath and take her on long walks at the beach. Zinny’s days are also amused by the findings Bert has to offer him daily.
Secretly enjoying the company of the opposite feline.
Bert Spends his days frolicking in the sun under the orange and lemon trees.
Making sure he is well feed by servants on hand breakfast and dinner with raw chicken, beef and liver.
Amused by the energetic Zinny when life is not entertaining enough.
(insert cat talk here)

Describe your creative process.
My creative process varies however I always fall back on my post-it’s which I write my ideas on around the house, in bed or in the car before I forget them.  I use numerous notebooks to nut out an idea which I normally start with just a word or an object which has inspired or influenced my life.
I will spend hours working out compositions and flow of the artwork on the object to make sure my ideas are flowing across the piece and is it being understood. Once this has been completed, I will then draw it to the object e.g.: wooden candle holder and paint the final piece with acrylic, spray paint and varnish.

What inspires you the most?
When two opposite beings can compliment each other without having to change themselves, for example Zin (dog) and Bert (cat).

Name some of your most favourite local artists and designers.
Ladie Poise.
Loretta Lizzio.
Beci Orpin.

What are your ultimate dreams for Zin and Bert?
For Zin and Bert to live a happy and enjoyable life with the company of each other, Oh you mean the business!!!
– The ultimate dream for Zin and Bert as a business would be total world home-ware domination, or I would be very content with everyone enjoying a brighter life with Zin and Bert home-wares in there home.
