Some pop culture fun
Cool movie poster design
Screen projected thrills

Tell us a little about the origins of  Lynch Art Design.

It’s easy to see the creativity between films and artwork, quite often they go hand in hand. For someone like myself who is a Graphic Designer and movie fan, it seemed only natural for me to create my own artistic interpretations of cult movies that I love. Which, in turn gave birth to Lynch Art Design.

Describe your creative process.
First I hand draw the illustrations that feature in my posters. Then I recreate them digitally and build them to form a fully established poster design.

What inspires you the most?
Cult Movies! Although I love all types of movies, cult movies are my fave, whether it be by style or status! I’m inspired by the dramatic power these type of films hold and the infinity fans have with them.

Name some of your most favourite local artists and designers
Ken Taylor, Joe Whyte, Kelly Thompson, Rik Lee… just to name a few…

What are your ultimate dreams for Lynch Art Design?
Ultimate dreams for Lynch Art Design. Okay, to be able design posters full time and not just movie posters, but all kinds of poster design. Another ultimate dream would be… to be asked by Quentin Tarantino himself to design the official poster for new movie he’s working on! That’s an ultimate dream!

What will will we find from Lynch Art Design at our July Bend and Snap Market?
A good range of my posters available and myself drawing pictures during the course of the day.

Join us and LYNCH ART DESIGN at our upcoming market day THIS Sunday 27th July 11:00am to 4:00pm with a delicious variety of stalls showcasing the wonderful work of the local art and design community.

We are also thrilled to be having the eclectic and retro cool designer behind GOODIIS, Maria, hosting a “MAKE YOUR OWN MINII NECKLACE” creation station at market day this weekend.

Play with chaotic geometric and organic shapes that use energetic colours with contrasting textures to create bold personal statement pieces with a unique twist. All beads have been lovingly hand-crafted by GOODIIS and we invite you to join in the fun and inject a little more colour into the dreary dark shades of winter.

Be sure to see our other gorgeous stall holders where you will find a range of delights such as sweet treats like the best shortbreads in the land and millions of layers of  crepe cakes, hand made jewellery from bold colourful polymer clay pieces to delicate works with silver and uncut stones, original art work from pop art inspired pieces to those a little more darker, terrariums, sarcastic greeting cards that push the envelope, re-imagined film posters, delicate paper crafts, and magnetic sassiness (you will have to come see to find out!).
