Discover a range of innovative and handmade wares from jewellery, textiles, homewares and sweet treats, each lovingly made by an assortment of our of playful makers with experimental and creative concoctions from crystal and macrame fusions with peacock ore and tassels by EQ Creations, vintage heaven from Brooklyn Dimes, raw oxidised silver pieces by Sebo Handmade Jewellery, knitted carnations and other creations by Sharon Margaret, Yum!‘s delicious resin jewellery and homewares inspired by food and many more.

We are also privileged to be having our friends from SisterWorks join us at our upcoming market day showcasing a diverse range of creations and live henna painting demonstrations throughout the market day.
SisterWorks Inc. is a grassroots social enterprise based in Greater Melbourne. SisterWorks mission is to enable the most vulnerable asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women to work towards financial independence by developing the skills they need to settle happily into Australian society.
One example of the extensive work done by SisterWorks is providing the “Sisters” support in developing their own microbusinesses, nurturing creativity and empowerment by facilitating Design Labs. These Design Labs are held twice a week with view to help improve the design and quality of the products made by the Sisters as well as improving their business, social and English skills. The Sisters who will be joining us at our October market include:
Anu worked as an IT teacher in India and now has
become an entrepreneur. She currently is making baby summer dresses, she make henna paintings and beautiful scarves from her native India.
Petronia, a senior Sister in SisterWorks, works in a cooperative with her mother and daughter to share traditional Burundi woven baskets. She has also learned skills at the Social Studio including, sewing, pattern making and printmaking. With her mentor Mia, Petronia is creating new textile homewares.
Elizabeth (Ukraine): Elizabeth has been in Australia for over 40 years, she worked very hard but she is so proud that her children and grandchildren have a bright future ahead. She knits beautiful dolls.
Alejandra (Chile): Alejandra worked as a journalist in Chile and she has a Masters. When she first came here she felt sad that no one noticed her skills due to her lack of networks and language skills. Now, her brand Kelkay is starting to take flight.
Enjoy the Sunday afternoon browsing the wonderful wares along with the unique opportunity to meet and chat with the diverse selection of makers of each of the covetable wares that tickle your fancy.
Pick up some new skills and invaluable insights from each of our incredible stall holders at our upcoming market day, followed by live music by Big Smoke as part of Holy Days in The Church of Bang Bang Boogaloo, a series of stripped back sessions running throughout the month of October (presented by Parlour Gigs).
