We are also pleased to be having our friends from SisterWorks join us again at our upcoming market day showcasing a diverse range of creations and live crafting demonstrations throughout the market day.
SisterWorks is a grassroots social enterprise based in Greater Melbourne. SisterWorks mission is to enable the most vulnerable asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women to work towards financial independence by developing the skills they need to settle happily into Australian society.
One example of the extensive work done by SisterWorks is providing the “Sisters” support in developing their own microbusinesses, nurturing creativity and empowerment by facilitating Design Labs. These Design Labs are held twice a week with view to help improve the design and quality of the products made by the Sisters as well as improving their business, social and English skills.
