Our final market for the year will be this weekend on Saturday 19th December to Sunday 20th December, 12:00pm to 5:00pm. We will be filling the 1000 £ Bend gallery with all sorts of festive frivolity and gifty goodness for the entire weekend with a mix of artists and designers on each day.

We are also privileged to be having our friends from SisterWorks join us again on both days of our upcoming market weekend, showcasing a diverse range of creations and live crafting demonstrations throughout the market day.

SisterWorks is a grassroots social enterprise based in Greater Melbourne. SisterWorks mission is to enable the most vulnerable asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women to work towards financial independence by developing the skills they need to settle happily into Australian society.

The Sisters who will be sharing their crafts with us on both days include:

Anna, from Thailand, designs her own jewellery influenced by her cultured, such as cross-stitched necklaces and earrings.

 

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Cielo, from Colombia, was an engineer in her country, she has a new product, eco-friendly scarves, dyed with eucalyptus leaves.

 

NIMANima, from Iran, was also an engineer in her country, she paints cards.

 

PamelaPamela, from Chile, is a wine expert. Her newest product is crochet-wire jewellery.

 

petroniaPetronia, from Burundi, has handwoven baskets. It takes two months for her to make ONE basket (amazing skills!).
