Tell us a little about yourself using a Haiku.
Plastic guns and swords
Adorned in dinosaurs and
So much shiny stuff
Tell us a little about the origins of This Is Not A Toy.
This is not a Toy is a partnership formed in 2010. We are a pair or artistic jacks of all trades who collaboratively. We are bringing our Jewellery collection to Bend and Snap, but we also make props, sculptures, costumes and more.
Describe your creative process.
We like to work with reclaimed materials, so it really begins with finding excellent things and imagining the possibilities, then exploring the methodology to make an excellent end product. We like to experiment.
What inspires you the most?
Name some of your favourite local artists and designers.
Dieter Barry, Stephen Ives, Lauren Nicholson, Gunshy, Boxwars – The Art of Destruction.
What are your ultimate dreams for This Is Not A Toy?
